Heading North from central Florian贸polis, you can exit the highway to make a visit to the traditional bay side town Santo Antonio de Lisboa. This place is a favourite among locals, who cherish the vibe and love to visit the seafood restaurants here. There's not much of a beach to speak of here, but you have a nice view of the bay - full of anchored sailing boats and fishing vessels. During certain weekends the town will host market days, with local craftsmen selling their work.
From Santo Antonio de Lisboa, there is a road northwards along the bay, going to Sambaqui and a few tiny beaches further away. It's a pleasure to drive this road with a motorcycle or scooter. You can return to the main highway through Barra do Sambaqui. Santo Antonio de Lisboa and Sambaqui have a cosy vibe and almost Mediterranean feel. Late afternoon is when most people like to go here for eating and drinking.
